Dharma Day
Sunday 13 July 2025 10am – 5pm
On this festival day, we celebrate the Dharma - the teachings of the Buddha and the truth that will lead us to enlightenment. We commemorate the first discourse spoken by the Buddha. An event that still has an impact on our lives today. The Dharma therefore exists outside of time and space. Therefore, in the first part of the day, we will approach the Dharma as a timeless teaching primarily through meditation. We will bridge the gap between past and present by meditating on how the Buddha came to the decision to share and teach his experience and insight over 2500 years ago. The effect of this monumental event can still be felt today and perhaps we can connect with these deep vibrations.
In the second half of the day, we will celebrate the sevenfold Puja which will include Mitra ceremonies. We will witness and celebrate three people who, like the diciples of the Buddha 2500 years ago, have decided to follow the Dharma.
As always, there will be a Lunch break, so please bring something vegan to share.
